I cannot believe that we have reached the end of another half term, time is flying by. It is been a busy term but very rewarding.
Each half term I ask Heads of Year to nominate two students who have had an exceptional term, showing great effort and attitude to their learning. We then meet for a cupcake and drink as a chance for me to find out what they have been doing, and hear all about their plans. This week was particularly rewarding as we heard about the experiences of two of our Year 11s who have started their exams and are drawing towards the end of their time at The Vyne. I was so inspired to learn that both Michaela and Harry intend to study maths at A Level as well as a range of sciences. Michaela aspires to become a cardiologist, I was struck by her clarity of vision and quiet determination and look forward to hearing how she gets on in the future. Well done to William F, Zenith P, Amy F, Alexander H, Sam R, Leo H, Asnima T, Sol B, Mihaela G and Harry R.
Today we said goodbye to Mrs Mitchell in the English department and wish her all the best, and welcome Miss Gosby in the Science department who will be joining us after the half term break.
The end of year exams for students in Years 7 to 10 will be taking place over a two week period from Monday 17th June. Please open the following links giving you access to both the exam timetable and a letter with important information. We have also provided some useful links to help the students prepare and revise.
Many of our Combined Cadet Force members are involved in activities over the break and I wish them a successful time. I hope you all have a lovely half term.
